Here’s whats been going on with us:
- Last weekend we had a dump truck full of round gravel dropped off. I spent 8 hours building two retaining walls and spreading the said gravel. For a break I put new lattice on the deck. One of the worst sunburns I’ve had for sure.
- The Rock Skateboard Ministry started up last week. See poster. We have a team from SkateLife Canada coming up on Friday to do a demo/contest and camp. We built some new ramps which are awesome. Mali and Taya are shredding.
- My band ‘Hello Paisley’ advanced in the top 6 from ‘Music in the Park’ to play on Canada Day for prizes.
- I built Ev a flower box thing so now she plants flowers. So far so good.
- Ev is also painting the skirting on the house. Looks great.
- I’m into week 4 of my new job at the NWT Housing Corporation. Its been great so far. The people are great and the work has been steady.
- I received my 5-year ‘Long Service Award’ with the Government of the Northwest Territories. I get a fancy framed certificate.
- Bocce Ball season is in full swing.
- Mali is addicted to fishing. We went out tonight for the first time this summer and she caught her second fish. Her cast is awesome.
- Went to Calgary two weekends ago for Dad and Joan’s wedding. Was great to see everyone. Wedding was nice. Great to see Dad so happy.
- We had a family photo shoot last weekend for a magazine we are apparently going to be in.
