OK…so I guess I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and start one of these. I’ve been reading other friend’s blogs for a while and thought that maybe it was weird that I read, but don’t contribute to the blog world. Like I’m crashing a party of an exclusive club or something. Anyway, here it is. I’ll tell Ev I’ve started this thing and hopefully she will also contribute her deep thoughts because I’m telling you….I don’t have many. At least I’m no longer a creepy blog reader.
As for the title…it took me a while to come up with something. I thought it might be cool to incorporate all of our names or something into a title like “Benelyne Maltaycar” (Benji, Evelyne, Mali, Taya, Oscar), but that was lame. So while I was surfing the net, I came across a Laguna Beach advertisement and I came up with a title. For those of you who don’t know, this is a reality MTV show about high school kids in Laguna Beach, California. It is also Ev’s favorite. For those of you who know “The O.C.” (which I’m sure most of you are addicted to watching), Laguna is like “The real O.C.” Basically spoiled rotten kids who do nothing, but shop, gossip, and hang out. Entertaining to say the least. Its a bit highschool-girlish to be watching, but I can’t seem to un-program it from my PVR every Wednesday night. ANYWAY….back to the point….the girls on the show kind of have their own language and one saying that we thought was funny ended up being the title of our blog. There you have it. You basically never have to watch the show now and I would recommend against it. You WILL loose I.Q. points by viewing it. However, if you missed season 1, Ev might let you borrow the dvd.
